Webmaster/Project Manager
I am currently consulting with NARAL (National Abortion and Reproductive Rights Action League) on the management and strategy of their two websites, www.naral.org and fight4choice.com. During this time I have performed the following:
  • Balanced the needs and priorities of many different departments
  • Managed the building of Fight4Choice.com
  • HTML (and Javascript) daily and weekly updates to both naral.org and fight4choice.com
  • Attended strategy meetings and provided feedback on how the websites could be optimally used.
  • Coordinate with vendors on site updates and programming fixes on both sites, reviewed web vendor bills.
  • Developed process for approving and posting content to the websites.
  • Wrote and distributed guidelines for writing web friendly documents.
  • Edit and create copy for websites.
  • Create graphics.

Technical Writer/Web Manager/Admin
I worked on site at the Headquarters of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF), in the Information Services Division, Software Management Branch (SMB) in the following capacities:
  • Technical Writing
    My primary activity fom April 1998 was writing user's manuals and quick reference guides for new software programs, working closely with users and developers of varying levels of proficiency in English. I was also responsible for collecting entries and editing the SMB segment of the Weekly Activity Report (WAR) to the Undersecretary, and wrote the guidelines for submitting a WAR entry that are referenced by all SMB employees.
  • Web Design, Web Documentation:
    In addition to being responsible for posting all software documentation to the ATF Intraweb in HTML and .pdf formats, I designed the SMB intraweb page and and maintained it as needed.
  • Administrative and Human Resources Support
    My responsibilities to the KBM Group also involved administrative and human resource duties for our on site employees, such as collecting and proofreading timesheets and expense reports. I guided new employees through ATF procedures, submit their security clearance paperwork and create new forms as needed.
